Anna Hyrne - Matron of Honor: Annie is one of the first people I met when I started college at the University of Tampa (2001). She was my “big sis” in Delta Zeta and is truly like a big sister to me (since I am the oldest in my family). She is a great friend. Even if we don’t talk for months, we always pick up right where we left off. I was in her wedding and there when she had both of her kids and now she will get to share in my special day. We are always there for each other. She is one of my best friends and I am so glad that she agreed to be my matron of honor!
Beth Martinson - Bridesmaid: Beth is my “lil sis” in Delta Zeta. I met her my sophomore year of college (2002). Beth is hilarious! She is so witty and sarcastic. Just have a conversation with her and she will have you cracking up. Beth is a true Florida girl (born and raised in Boca Raton). In college, we loved going to the beachand really got close on our springbreak trip to Key West my senior year. Beth also shares my love of Jimmy John’s subs (mmm…good). Beth is a great sister and a great friend.
Sherrie Achors - Bridesmaid: Sherrie is also my sorority sister. She is my great grandlil (so to explain…Beth is my lil sister, she took Mindy [my grandlil] and Mindy took Sherrie [my great grandlil]). I met Sherrie my senior year at UT (2004). After college, I moved back to Pennsylvania, but came down to Tampa to visit at least once a year and she always let me stay at her place. Sherrie still lives in Tampa, right down the street from me, and she is one of my best friends. Sherrie is always there for us (dog sitting, visiting me in the hospital, etc). Hopefully, she nevermoves! I don’t know what I would do without her!
Veronica Kennedy - Bridesmaid: Veronica is also my sorority sister in Delta Zeta. She is my grandlil (Beth, my lil, took Veronica as a lil sister). Sherrie and Veronica actually grew up together in Naples and were best friends long before they went to college together at UT. Veronica joined Delta Zeta after I graduated. I met her when I came to Tampa to visit friends (since she was roommates with Sherrie). Veronica is my “domesticated” friend (i.e. she is very artsy and good at cooking, sewing, etc.). I am definitely going to utilize her many talents for the wedding! She was one of the first people to know about my cancer diagnosis and went wig shopping with me. Thank God! Otherwise, it would have been much harder than it already was. She is a great friend and I am so glad that she is one of my bridesmaids!
Jill Bugbee - Bridesmaid: Jill is Mike’s sister-in-law. I have known her since she married Eric Bugbee in 2003. Jill is actually from Bellflower, CA (where the octo-mom delivered) and met Eric when he lived in California for several years. Jill graduated from and roots for USC, which is fine, unless they play Penn State! Jill is very social and easy to talk to. I am always glad when she is at the (huge) Bugbee family gatherings, since I feel less overwhelmed talking to her. Jill, too, will be my sister, after the wedding.
Jessica Watson - Junior Bridesmaid: Jessica is my younger sister. I have known her since the day she was born! Jessica is “girly” (i.e. she likes the color pink and loves shopping for clothes). Like most girls her age, she is in love with Robert Pattinson and has seen “Twilight” at least 10 times. She loves music and can play both the clarinet and flute. I believe she can do anything she sets out to do! I am so happy she will be sharing in our special day!
Bethany Collins - Junior Bridesmaid: Bethany is my youngest sister. She is the “tomboy” in the family and is great at sports. She loves football. Last time I checked, she was rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bethany is a good student and all around good kid. She likes to help me cook (especially cupcakes) when I come home to visit. She is very excited that Mike and I are getting married, because she has known him since she was 2 ½ years old! |
